Zamzam is the name of the well that provides the water to billions of people especially the Haji who travel to Mecca and Madina for Haj. The Zamzam well is situated in Makkah, which is the heart of the Hajj pilgrimage. Standing only a few meters east of the Kabaah, the well is 35 meters deep and topped by a well-designed dome.
Origin:
Ancient legends tell the tale of Abraham’s newborn son, Ishmael, and his mother Hagar, who was left stranded right in the center of a desert, thirsty and tired, when a source of miraculous water sprang up at their feet to quench their thirst. This water then becomes famous as Zamzam Water.
